inShare The industrial automation partners delighted and educated hundreds of industry leaders at Pakistan’s first hands-on symposium dedicated to Industrial Automation & Process Control earlier this week, focusing directly on proven revenue-increasing technologies.
Lahore, Pakistan October 22, 2015: Rockwell Automation [NYSE: ROK] and Avanceon [KSE: AVN] closed the doors on the largest industrial automation and process control showcase event designed to “educate today, activate tomorrow”. Sitting perfectly with the world’s leading system integrator platform of Tomorrow’s Automation, Today, the invited audience were enthralled with genuinely insightful demonstrations and panel discussions from industry leaders across FMCG, power and construction verticals amongst others. Both Rockwell Automation and Avanceon were aiming to educate the participants of the symposium on how to capitalise on proven technologies, such as virtualization, strangely underused in most industries that could enhance overall revenue streams.
Avanceon and Rockwell Automation created such a strong industry platform they were able to bring hundreds of experts into one room for this groundbreaking event, with various key industry regional and global panellists including:
Adnan Mian, CEO and President at Mercury MENA and Irinatech Group
Muhammad Irfan, Senior Manager, Instrument & Control, Hub Power Co.

Chris Marshall, Market Access Director, Rockwell Automation said:
“Until you are here on the ground, amongst so many engineers, you can’t anticipate how well the material will be received. I knew from the buzz around the venue I would be able to learn as much from the audience as I hoped to pass onto them, an excellent knowledge exchange and something that we hope to continue with Avanceon in the future. Our Connected Enterprise keynote opened the eyes of many people in the room, as to the possibilties available to them.”
Faletti’s, the historic hotel, was a fitting location to host the first Industrial Automation Symposium in Pakistan, and drew engineers and household names to Lahore, the heart of Pakistan. The series of keynotes, panel discussions, hands-on demonstrations and breakout sessions delivered by the likes of Nestle, Karachi Electric, Engro and Cisco and the subject matter experts from Avanceon and Rockwell made sure that attendees left the day with invaluable and actionable insights. The rationale behind this major event, increasing technological awareness in the market, is the organiser’s hope that this leads to overall efficiency and improvement in the Pakistani economy.
Bakhtiar H Wain, CEO, Avanceon added
“This showcase symposium has been something I personally have been wanting to deliver to the Pakistani market for several years and I am incredibly pleased with the initial feedback, interest and coverage. It would not have been possible without our deepening partnership with Rockwell Automation, and the determination of both companies to bring it to life. Our thanks go out to all presenters and attendees and be sure we will be maintaining momentum across the region and enabling industry to make a difference where it matters most.”
