Dubai, UAE – Avanceon and Rockwell Automation are pleased to announce their sponsorship of the Middle East Rail 2014 exhibition held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from February 4-5, 2014. The global automation leaders who have implemented the Tunnel Ventilation System [TVS], the Environmental Control System [ECS] and the Emergency Shutdown System [EDS] for the red and green lines of the Dubai Metro will present Avanceon’s seamless solutions combined with the Rockwell Automation state-of-the-art technology, SIL-2 Application. This will also be the occasion for the two companies to uncover how their valuable collaboration, including the Lusail project in Qatar, contributes to Middle East Rail’s triumphs.

Avanceon, ETA and RTA partners in the first fully automated urban train network in the Arabian Peninsula, is well placed to understand the scale of future rail development in the Middle East.

“We invested over 83,000 man hours bringing the Dubai Metro to life; our biggest project of its kind to date and certainly one very close to the heart of this truly vibrant region” said Bakhtiar H Wain, Avanceon CEO, recalling March 2008. “I’m proud of the high safety and ventilation specifications we implemented across this landmark network, it means that commuters can breathe easily.”

Avanceon’s bespoke engineering design relates closely to Rockwell Automation SIL-2 redundant ControlLogix system, the backbone of world class automated safety systems.

“Alongside Avanceon, we are honoured to participate and support Qatar’s ambitious vision at Lusail, the Future City, in preparation for the FIFA World Cup. Our ControlLogix system is built into the very foundations, a key factor in ensuring safe control of temperature regulation and quality of air inside the tunnel infrastructure.”

“We provide centralised situational awareness by monitoring of life critical equipment during an emergency such as a fire.”said Neil Enright, Regional Sales Director at Rockwell Automation.

Avanceon and Rockwell Automation look forward to continuing their solid alliance on other projects in the rail and transport industries in the future, where reliable and seamless safety solutions are essential. Visit their booth J20 at the Middle East Rail 2014 exhibition, Hall 1 & 2: Stand 20, from February 4 to 5, 2014.
